Willkommen to Bierkeller Brewing Company! Our permanent location on Columbia's riverfront is now open. Your experience is sure to feel like a true German home away from home. Whether you're relaxing in our spacious, shaded Biergarten or settling into our open and welcoming Bierhall, you’ll feel like you’ve stepped into a traditional tavern in Bamberg, Munich, or Salzburg. Grab one of our super-fresh, authentic beers served straight from the lagering tanks and enhance the feeling that much more.

But the full experience is only beginning. If food is part of the plan, grab a sausage or sandwich or schnitzel from our self-service counters -- prepared fresh throughout the day. More in the mood for a snack than a meal? Pick up a Bavarian pretzel with Obatza or a Bratwurst at our Biergarten counter. We also feature salads, rotisserie chicken, and daily specials, as well as old-world wine and other drinks. There's something for everyone!


Make a day or an entire weekend of it by bringing friends and family. Watch live football (American and European) and other sports; enjoy some live music; or celebrate at one of our frequent festivals. And afterwards (or before), take a stroll along the beautiful Three Rivers Greenway that passes just outside our doors to enjoy all the beauty that Columbia has to offer. We are a true community meeting place, so settle in and stay a while. Prost!

New Riverfront Location

Our new, full-service brewery and restaurant is located right next to our old, primary pop-up location at Riverfront Park. For those visiting from out of town, the Columbia Riverfront is a public place open-year round and comprises miles of trails along our three rivers as well as the Historic Columbia Canal. Take in the scenic and calming views from the Sola Station Esplanade while seated at one of our Biergarten or Bistro tables. Parking is easy and clearly marked, with abundant spaces (ca. 500) in the covered garage as well as surface parking in the nearby Riverfront Park and Aflac lots. Both I-26 and I-77 are just minutes from our location. Whether you are visiting or are a true local who has lived here your whole life, the experience at Bierkeller Brewing Company's new spot will remind you of everything there is to love about our fair, riverfront city.

Bierkeller Brewing Company Beers Are Exclusively German Styles 

All Bierkeller Brewing Company beers are brewed in close accordance with the German Purity Law of 1516, known as the Reinheitsgebot. As such, they contain only the four essential ingredients: malt, water, hops, and yeast. Year-round beers include Kölumbianer, a top-fermenting lager in the Kölsch style; Kellerbier, an unfiltered farmhouse-style lager; Rauchbier, a smoked lager in the Bamberg style; and Weissbier, a top-fermenting Bavarian wheat beer. We also have a selection of seasonal beers, brewed to both celebrate and enhance that particular time of year.


Our beers are full-flavored while remaining highly drinkable – a combination Germans refer to as süffig. They are like old friends: unique but familiar…and always refreshing to spend a few hours with.
